Our book for the new year was chosen by Debra and Libby! We are reading "Taking the Reins" by author Alison Hart. This book is part of the American Girl collection, and gives a sweet story about finding confidence!
The cool thing about this book is there are more than 20 different endings. The girls put themselves in the main character's shoes, and decide their own ending! It will be so fun to hear each girl share their own story at our next book club meeting! See y'all in January...Happy New Year!

Auntie Claus (hot chocolate) Tea Party!
Belles and Books celebrated our book, Auntie Claus, by having a (hot chocolate) tea party! This meeting really helped welcome the spirit of the season. It's always better to give than to receive!

Holiday Cheer 2011!
Happy Holidays to all of our Beautiful Belles and Books Gals! Our book for the season, "Auntie Claus" by Elise Primavera, was chosen by Melanie and Sara. It is a very sweet book with a heart warming message! May we all take these words of wisdom to heart,
..."always remember my first and final rule-whether it's birthdays, Christmas, or Halloween, it is far better to give than it is to receive!"
-Auntie Claus-
We will be sharing in an Auntie Claus tradition by having a tea party (hot chocolate) for our next book club meeting on December 3rd at 11:00! Can't wait to hear what the girls loved about the book....and remember to bring those fun questions!

Our first Meeting, October 2011
Our Belles and Books beginnings started with our Halloween read, "Haunted Castle on Hallows Eve" by Mary Pope Osborne. It was a very cute book for the spooky season!
In our meeting, each girl got to share her favorite part of the book, and then present a question to the group. I loved seeing how much the girls enjoyed the book, and hearing all of their imaginative questions!
Here are a few cute pictures...what a beautiful day it was! See y'all again soon, good reading :)
